The idea of HOPE+ grew out of a conference in August 2008 sponsored by The Aspen Institute. Founded in 1950, The Aspen Institute is a worldwide organization dedicated to fostering enlightened leadership, the appreciation of timeless ideas and values and open-minded dialogue on contemporary issues.

Microsoft

Microsoft has provided technical support and some seed funding through their Worldwide Government Division. Microsoft’s mission is to help people and businesses throughout the world achieve their full potential.

PoliticsOnline

PoliticsOnline developed the initial concept for HOPE+ and manages its development and daily operations. Founded in 1996, PoliticsOnline – and its subsidiary CIVISonline – provides tools and strategies for the civic sector worldwide.

Harvard

Founded in 1987 and part of the John F. Kennedy School of Government, the Leadership for a Networked World Program taps diverse knowledge within the Harvard community for uniquely powerful executive education, research and teaching partnerships.
